Dr. Gerald Marx is a pediatric cardiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and was Ryker’s Primary Cardiologist during his 14 months of life. He received his medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has been in practice for over 39 years. He is currently the Director of Ultrasound Imaging Research at Boston Children’s and has contributed to clinical care and concentrated on the development of non-invasive imaging modalities in the care of pediatric patients with acquired heart disease. With Dr. del Nido and the surgical team at Boston Children’s, they have developed and refined the technique of epi-cardial three-dimensional echocardiography in the operating room.
In 2002 Dr. Marx was elected the President of the American Heart Association and is on the board of numerous prestigious organizations. He has been named not only one of the Best Doctors in Boston by Boston Magazine, but also one of the Best Doctors in America.
